Wyoming City Management Association

A member of International City/County Management Association which is an organization dedicated to creating and sustaining thriving communities throughout the world.

The purpose of the Wyoming City Management Association (“WyoCMA”) is to:

  • Support professional management in local government by providing programming that will aid in the professional growth of individual Members and furtherance of the knowledge and ability of current and future municipal administrators and managers,

  • Provide a forum for the exchange of information between Association members and foster professional support among Association members.

  • Promote professionally managed forms of government for Wyoming municipalities/

  • Act as the State of Wyoming affiliate of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) the Mountain Plains Region and the Great Open Spaces City Management Association (GOSCMA).

  • Support and provide professional local management expertise.

  • Provide assistance to municipalities in need.

  • Provide information from the Association to elected officials to assist them in being able to make fully informed decisions.

  • Vigorously advocate and promote legislation that promotes professional municipal management and efficient and democratic municipal government by local elected officials.

WyoCMA strives to achieve this purpose by prescribing to the following Core Tenets.
